Unbelievable!
What do you do when a pregnant woman gets on the train? ... you get up and you give her the seat right...... I mean thats what I do all the time no matter how crowded the train may be ..... Today not a person got up for this woman. Her stomach was totally visible and any one could see that this woman is clearly pregnant. I just dont understand how some people can be so inconsiderate.

OMG! I see that all the time.I seen people avoid the gaze, pretend to sleep or even worse look straight at them and not even offer the seat. I especially hate it when the trains are full and everyone is like squeezing the poor pregnant women. People need common courtsey courses before riding the train.
ReplyDeleteI see that happen so much! I never sit on the train, though. But also- everytime someone offers me a seat, I think to myself "Does he think I'm pregnant?" lol..
ReplyDeleteIt's very awkward for me. Sometimes I get up, nod at a pregnant lady, and NOPE she just stands there, nods back, and that's that. That has happened more than once, too... Maybe pregnant women think I need the seat more?
ReplyDelete@Vic, at least you offered. sometimes they just dont want the seat. but i hate when no one offers. same goes for the elderly too. It's even more upsetting when young able men just sit there and don't even care.
ReplyDeleteThe many times that I've seen women get on the train, I've always seens a guy get up for them. But elderly ppl, that seems to be a different thing. And when I go to stand up, then a guy want to become chivalrist (sp?) all of a sudden and offer their seat instead. That irks me to no end.
